General Concepts
They are considered intellectual property works:
PERIODIC PUBLICATIONS: NEWSPAPERS, MAGAZINES, ETC.
RTISTICS: LITERARY, MUSICAL, THEATRICAL, PHOTOGRAPHICS, FILMS, SCULPTURAL, ARCHITECTURAL, ETC.
SOFTWARE: PROGRAMS, CONTRACTS, WEB PAGES AND INTERNET PORTALS.

The works of Intellectual Property have in Argentina terms of validation, which are as follow:
* For published works: 70 years starting from January 1° of the year that follow at the die of the author.
* For unpublished works: 3 years starting from the deposit date, (renewal before the expiration of this 3 years by others consecutive periods of equal duration and so in indefinite form).
* For periodic publications: 1 year starting from the deposit date, (renewal before the expiration of this year by others consecutive periods of equal duration and so in indefinite form).
* For photographic works: 20 years starting the date of the first publication.
* For cinematographic works: 50 years starting from the die of the last collaborator.

These are not considered intellectual property works:
THE GAMES OF CHANCE, THE MEDICAL PROGRAMS, THE FINANCIAL PROGRAMS.

Deposits of Works

You should get ready an application for registration, for which are necessary the following elements:

Examplary/ies of the work (according to the work type you will be indicated how many examplaries shall be needed).
Genre of the work (musical, literature, arquitecture, photographic, etc.)
Author dates: name, document number, address, CUIT (just for argentinians).
Owner of the copyright dates: idem author.
Form of power of attorney (see power), legalized by the Argentine Consulate in the country of origin, or by Apostilla (La Haya Convention).
